Lately I want to live in white shirts and a good pair of jeans (quite unusual for myself!), all the reason to pump it up in the other departments, color splurge tote from Marni, Embellished Valentino pumps, Tory Burch smart white top (all three available at Net-A-Porter), and of course, never leave the house without a state of the art statement necklace from Charm & Chain (my new browse and covet stop online…)
Well I suppose there is really no way around it, back to reality, school started on Monday and to be completely honest I am excited to be back! I bet many of you would agree with me when I say there is something about structure that makes life a tad more comprehensive… Of course that back to New York means stashing my sneakers under the bed and opting for some stilettos…
I had this top for over a year and this is the first time it ever made an exit out of my room, what can I say? I guess it wasn’t time…! I found it in a flea market in the lower east side and simply had to have it… Paired with a Forever21 classic knit skirt, Silver Heels from ZARA and a clutch from Club Monaco. Sunnies from a thrift shop…

One of the most refreshing elements of this vacation was pausing urban life completely. I think that being so invested in fashion throughout the entire year creates a huge hunger for something that has absolutely nothing to do with it, and being out in the open, surrendering to the road and lending my body to a hike in the mountains was just what I needed… This is just a taste of what we’ve experienced on this magical journey, enjoy…!
Honestly, I have never expected to be so inspired… There is so much duality in the landscape in Arizona, you can literally experience the greenest forest right by rocky dessert and for the lack of a better word, it really is breathtaking… All images on this post were taken by me (let’s just say I embraced the tourist/ aspiring photographer in me…) with the exception of the 2nd and the 9th taken by my boyfriend…

Well Hello There! I am officially back in the big apple, rested and ready to go! I cannot describe how incredibly necessary this short vacation was… I do have a ton of dessert beauty to go through before I post my journey in full (The Grand Canyon, Sedona and Jerome just to name a few!) , but in the meantime, I hope you enjoy some bits and pieces from my Instagram account!

Wow. This whole Pinterest fiasco has really got me clicking… How fun! Literally endless resources of inspiration neatly stacked and titles waiting for you to repin, or perhaps stack some of your own! indeed I am taken by storm, and the best part (besides it all being so accessible and free) it’s not eating up the space on your hard-drive, and I’m sure many serial-image-collectors (like me…) are enormously relieved… But anyhow, I found this lovely Decor snap in my friend’s Maggie board and fell for it’s elegant ease, obviously I had to muse a look to go with it!

Lately I had a recurring infatuation with the good old Black and White wining combination… It seems to me that no matter how you compile the two together, it always creates a sharp look with a timeless allure. Keeping things contemporary, if you ask me, is all about silhouette…. And if you’re following me for a while now, you probably have noticed that boxy is not my typical go to, but none the less, we all ought to try something new no??? I can’t tell you how long I have been looking for the perfect pair of white sunnies and I simply can’t stop wearing these! (In case you haven’t noticed, they are identical in shape to the ones featured on my previous *Eye Candy* post).
Oh and by the way, please do welcome aboard Jaehee Hwang, a new and unusual collaborator here on CHIC a’ la RUSSE. And the reason I say “unusual” is because Jae has an extensive background in Photography but from the Fine Arts point of view… See for yourself…

I was browsing through a new favorite, The Telavivian, a creative web platform that gathers some of the best writers/bloggers in Tel Aviv and aspires to capture the greatness of the city. I must say that a short tour through the web-site left me impressed and on the more personal side effect, it fed into that longing for Tel-Aviv, because it truly is a special place, ever-changing and endlessly inspiring… I mean, they even have recipes!
